FOUNDERS FEST: WAITLIST & NEWSLETTER TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Who we are
Founders Fest is an event organised by Vienna in Touch e.U. ("INTOUCH", "we", "us"), a media and events company based in Vienna, Austria.

By joining the Founders Fest waitlist, you are entering into a communication relationship with Vienna in Touch e.U.

2. What you're signing up for
By submitting your details through the Founders Fest waitlist form, you agree to receive:
  • Early access notifications for Founders Fest tickets and registration
  • Announcements about the event date, location, lineup and programme
  • Exclusive industry insights and content related to the Founders Fest community
  • Occasional updates from Vienna Intouch relevant to founders, creatives and the entrepreneurial community in Vienna
You are not purchasing a ticket or making a financial commitment of any kind by joining the waitlist.

3. Your data — what we collect and why
When you join the waitlist, we collect:

We do not collect payment information, sensitive personal data, or any data beyond what is necessary to communicate with you about Founders Fest.

4. How we use your data
Your data is used solely for the following purposes:
  • Sending you Founders Fest waitlist updates and early access information
  • Sending you event-related communications (lineup, date reveal, programme)
  • Sending you occasional industry insights and content relevant to the Founders Fest community
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We may share your data with trusted service providers who help us operate our email platform (such as email delivery services), strictly for the purpose of sending you the communications you signed up for. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)
We process your personal data on the basis of your explicit consent, which you provide by submitting the waitlist form and confirming your subscription.

You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

6. Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights:
Right to access — You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
Right to erasure — You can ask us to delete your personal data at any time.
Right to restrict processing — You can ask us to limit how we use your data.
Right to data portability — You can request your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
Right to object — You can object to our processing of your personal data.
Right to withdraw consent — You can unsubscribe from our communications at any time, free of charge, with no explanation required.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde) if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.

7. How to unsubscribe
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it and you will be immediately removed from all Founders Fest waitlist communications.

You can also unsubscribe by emailing us directly at contact@viennaintouch.com with the subject line "Unsubscribe."
We will process your request within 5 business days. You will not receive any further communications after that.
No spam. Ever. If you joined the waitlist, you asked to hear from us. The moment you don't want to — you won't.

8. How long we keep your data
We retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed to the Founders Fest waitlist and communications. If you unsubscribe, we delete your data within 30 days.

If Founders Fest does not take place, we will notify all waitlist subscribers and delete all collected data within 60 days of that notification.

9. Cookies and tracking
Our emails may contain standard tracking pixels that tell us whether an email has been opened and whether links have been clicked. This helps us understand what content is useful to our subscribers.

If you prefer not to be tracked, you can disable image loading in your email client, which will prevent pixel tracking.

10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

Continued subscription to the waitlist after a change notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

11. Governing law
These terms are governed by Austrian law. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Vienna, Austria.
