Founders Fest 2026 – Terms and Conditions
These Terms and Conditions govern the purchase of tickets for, and attendance at, Founders Fest 2026 on 13 November 2026 in Vienna, including the afterparty. By buying, receiving or using a ticket you accept these terms.
1. Organiser and scope
Founders Fest is organised by Vienna in Touch e.U., Kaiserstrasse 68/42, 1070 Vienna, Austria, FN 663055 g (Handelsgericht Wien), VAT ID ATU78991316, member of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (Wirtschaftskammer Wien). Contact: hello@foundersfest.eu, +43 670 554 66 45 ("we", "us", "the Organiser").
These terms apply to all guests. Separate agreements apply to speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, partners and staff. Mandatory consumer protection rules always take precedence over these terms.
The venue's house rules also apply at the event.
2. Tickets
Purchase. Tickets are sold exclusively through the ticketing platform Luma (luma.com). The contract for attendance is concluded between you and Vienna in Touch e.U. when your order is confirmed. Payment is processed by Luma and its payment provider. Luma's own terms apply to the use of its platform.
Prices. All prices are shown in euros and include Austrian VAT. Payment is due in full at the time of booking. Tickets bought from unauthorised sellers are not valid.
Ticket types. The following tickets are available:
- Early Bird, Regular and Last Phase – day tickets for the daytime programme, sold in consecutive price phases. A phase ends when its contingent is sold out or its sales period expires, whichever comes first. Earlier phases are not reopened, and price differences between phases are not refunded.
- VIP – day ticket with the additional benefits described on the Luma ticket page.
- Networking Afterparty – access to the afterparty only.
Named tickets. Every ticket is issued in the name of one person and is valid only for that person. We may ask you to show a valid photo ID at the entrance.
Transfer. You may transfer your ticket to another person free of charge by changing the ticket holder's name in Luma or by emailing hello@foundersfest.eu no later than 12 November 2026, 18:00. The new holder must accept these terms. Commercial resale, and resale above the original price, is not allowed; tickets resold in breach of this may be cancelled without refund.
3. Withdrawal, refunds and changes
No right of withdrawal. Founders Fest is a leisure event on a fixed date. Under § 18(1)(10) of the Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act (FAGG) the 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases therefore does not apply.
Refunds. As a voluntary service, you can cancel your ticket and receive a refund up to 10 days before the event, that is until 3 November 2026, 23:59 (Vienna time). To cancel, use the cancellation function in Luma or email hello@foundersfest.eu within this period. The refund is made to the original payment method within 14 days. Service and payment fees charged by Luma may not be refundable. From 4 November 2026 tickets can no longer be cancelled or refunded; you can, however, still transfer your ticket to another person (section 2).
Cancellation by us. If we cancel the event, you will receive a refund of the ticket price. Luma's service fees are refunded where Luma refunds them to us. Further claims, such as travel or hotel costs, are excluded unless we caused the cancellation intentionally or through gross negligence.
Postponement. If the event is moved to a new date, your ticket remains valid for that date. If you cannot attend the new date, you may request a refund within 14 days of our announcement.
Programme changes. The programme, speakers, artists, timings and room allocation may change. Changes of individual programme items are not grounds for a refund, provided the overall character of the event remains the same.
Force majeure. We are not liable for cancellation, interruption or changes caused by events beyond our control, such as official orders, pandemics, extreme weather, strikes or power failures. In that case the rules on cancellation and postponement above apply.
4. Admission and house rules
18+ only. Founders Fest and the afterparty are open only to guests aged 18 or over. Bring a valid official photo ID (passport, ID card or driving licence). Guests who cannot prove their age will be refused entry without a refund.
Admission. Admission requires a valid ticket (QR code via Luma) and, on request, ID matching the name on the ticket. Each ticket can be scanned once. Leaving and re-entering may require a re-check.
Refusal and removal. We and the venue's security may refuse entry or remove guests, without refund, who:
- are visibly intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
- behave aggressively, discriminatory, harassing or otherwise disruptive
- carry prohibited items (weapons, pyrotechnics, illegal substances, own food or drinks)
- refuse a reasonable bag or security check
- do not follow instructions from staff or security
5. Photos, liability and personal belongings
Photos and video. The event is photographed and filmed. By attending you acknowledge that you may appear in photos and recordings that we use to document and promote Founders Fest and our other events. Details and your rights are in our Privacy Policy.
Lost and damaged items. You are responsible for your own belongings. We accept no liability for the loss, theft or damage of personal items, including in the cloakroom, unless caused by us intentionally or through gross negligence. Items found are kept for 4 weeks after the event; contact hello@foundersfest.eu.
Liability. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, and limited to the damage typically foreseeable at the time of booking. Liability for lost profit and indirect damage is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
Your responsibility. You attend at your own risk and are liable for damage you cause to the venue, equipment or other guests. Loud music is played at the afterparty; hearing protection is recommended.
6. Data protection and final provisions
Data protection. We process your personal data in line with our Privacy Policy, available at foundersfest.eu.
Applicable law. Austrian law applies, excluding its conflict-of-law rules and the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer law of your country of residence.
Place of jurisdiction. For business customers, the competent court in Vienna has exclusive jurisdiction. For consumers, the statutory place of jurisdiction applies.
Online dispute resolution. We are not obliged and not willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Severability. If any provision of these terms is invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
Language. These terms are drawn up in English.
